It's been incredibly rainy this month, more than any other month I can remember. Almost every day is gray and wet and blah. Which is especially dismal if you have to walk everywhere like College Student Mel does. And when I walk any significant distance, I like to have my iPod on, and I made myself a special gray day playlist. You know there are songs that have a certain circumstance to them - there are songs are for the dark, for sunny days, for rainy days.

These are the best of what I consider my rainy day songs.

Last night I watched Rent for the first time. I know, I know, "How had you not seen that yet?". When it came out, it seemed to me like a movie that everyone watched a big group, and I didn't have anyone to watch it with until this year. I really enjoyed it. Going into it, I thought it was going to be like Hamlet, and 90% of the cast was going to die, so it was a nice surprise to see only two death scenes. We were making posters for the food drive at the same time, so I didn't get the full effect, but I'm going to watch it again soon.
